Removal
1. Disconnect the booster pushrod from the brake pedal by removing the spring clip and pin (see Figure 19.1).

2. After disconnecting the wiring plug from the brake light switch, rotate the switch 90° and pull it out of the bracket.
3. After removing the spring clip securing the brake pedal axle on its side, press the pedal towards the clutch pedal to release the brake pedal (see Figure 19.3).

4. Push out or press in the pedal bushings and remove the spring.
Installation
5. Install the pedal in the reverse order of removal. When installing the pedal onto the axle, align the notch in the axle with the pedal bushing.
