Removal
Caution: If a rigid tow bar is installed, the wiring harness must be disconnected before removing the bumper.
1. Working underneath the vehicle from the rear, unscrew and remove the bumper retaining pair of nuts and bolts on each side (see Figure 26.1).

2. Pull the plastic covers to release them from the clips. Pull the bumper back and remove it.
3. If required, the plastic covers can then be separated from the bumper by removing the clips and sliding the plugs to the side to remove them.
Installation
4. Install in the reverse order of removal. Align the bumper correctly before tightening the screws completely.
