Checking the connecting rods

            0

Carefully inspect the connecting rods and their covers. If the bushings have one-sided located black prints, it can be assumed that the connecting rod is bent. If the oil passage hole located in the upper bearing is deformed, and the mounting tabs of the bearing are compressed, this indicates that the bearing was turned in the lower head of the connecting rod.

The head cannot be machined and therefore the connecting rod will have to be replaced. Connecting rods as spare parts are supplied as a set. Clearances in connecting rod bearings are given in subsection "Technical data".
