Carefully inspect the connecting rods and their caps. If there are black marks on the bearings on one side, it can be assumed that the connecting rod is warped. If the oil passage hole in the upper bearing is deformed, and the mounting protrusions of the bearing are compressed, this indicates that the bearing has been rotated in the lower head of the connecting rod.
The head cannot be machined and therefore the connecting rod must be replaced. Connecting rods are supplied as a set as spare parts. The clearances in the connecting rod bearings are given in the subsection "Technical data".
