1. Turn the socket with the light bulb by 90°, remove it and take out the light bulb (without turning it).

2. To remove the lamp, use a screwdriver to squeeze the side clips and pull the lamp out (left - removing the license plate lamp for cars manufactured before 1985, right - removing the license plate lamp for cars manufactured since 1986).
