SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. Clean the mating surfaces for installing the wing from the remains of the seal and apply a layer of fresh sealant to them. There should be no places where water can linger later. If the paintwork is damaged, repair the damage first.
2. Paint the new fender and apply anti-corrosion protection to its inner surface.
3. Apply regular body tape to the mating surfaces in the wheel arch and front pillar.
4. Install the wing and adjust the gaps between the wing, door and hood.
5. Clean and lubricate the threads of the wing mounting bolts.
6. Screw in and tighten all the wing mounting bolts, starting from the middle and moving towards the hood and windshield. As you screw in a new bolt each time, pay attention to the gap between the wing, door and hood.
7. Press the protruding body tape into the gap.
8. Apply sealing compound to the mating surfaces from the inside.
9. Further installation of the wing is carried out in the reverse order of removal. If necessary, adjust the position of the hood.
