SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. If your car is equipped with central locking, door speakers and electric windows, first disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Unscrew the rubber seal 1 (Fig. 17.2) of the door from the front pillar.
3. Turn counterclockwise and disconnect the connector 2 of the speaker, central locking and electric window.
4. Unscrew the bolts 3 securing the door hinge pins.
5. Knock out the hinge pins. Auto repair shops use a special punch for this, but you can use a steel rod or a bolt of the appropriate diameter.
6. First knock out the lower hinge pin by hitting it with a plastic hammer. The assistant should support the door.
7. Knock out the upper hinge pin in the same way.
8. Carefully remove the door from its hinges and place it securely on a suitable shim.
9. Before installation, lubricate both hinge pins with grease and insert into the hinges until the knurled grooves appear. Lubricate the hinges, hammer in the pins and secure them with bolts.
10. Install the rubber door seal and connect the connector and wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
Adjusting the door position
Place the car on a flat horizontal surface. Since the hinges are welded to the body and door frame, the door is adjusted by changing the position of the strike plate on the middle pillar.
SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. Loosen the screws securing the impact plate to the B-pillar.
2. Close the door and position it so that the bottom edge of the door is in line with the body.
3. Press the door handle and, lifting it slightly, carefully open the door.
4. In this position of the strike plate, securely fasten it with screws. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
