Removing the lock cylinder from the trunk lid

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.

2. Remove an upholstery of a cover of a luggage carrier.

3. Turn away nuts and remove facing of the cylinder of the lock (pic. 17.14).

4. Turn counterclockwise and release the retaining ring of the lock cylinder (pic. 17.15).

5. Disconnect the rod from the lock cylinder (see fig. 17.15), press and turn the lock cylinder.

6. If installed, remove the anti-theft alarm switch.

7. Pull out the lock cylinder.

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace old and damaged rubber gaskets.
