Drain the coolant through the lower radiator connection into a previously prepared container. If the coolant has been in use for less than two years and is not contaminated, it can be used further.
Remove the V-belt.
Set the piston in the first cylinder to the TDC position (Fig. 2.89).
Remove the timing belt cover.
Shift into fifth gear and apply the handbrake.
Loosen the tensioner and remove the toothed belt (Fig. 2.90).
Loosen the lower pump connection.
Disconnect the flexible hose of the vehicle's heating system from the pump.
Remove the timing belt tensioner.
Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the pump.
