Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Loosen the tension of the alternator and water pump drive belt as described in Chapter 1.
3. According to the type of alternator, either disconnect the multi-pin plug or remove the plastic cover, unscrew the clamp nuts and disconnect the alternator wires, remembering their location (see Figure 5.3).

4. Unscrew the union nuts and loosen the hose clamps, then separate the oil and vacuum pipes from the rear of the brake booster (see figure 5.4).

5. Remove the alternator mounting and adjusting nuts and bolts and remove it from the engine (see figure 5.5).

Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the drive belt as described in Chapter 1, upon completion.
