Pic. 15.40. Location of fuses in the fuse and relay box under the instrument panel

Most of the fuses and some of the relays are located in the passenger compartment on the left under the steering wheel (pic. 15.40). The fuse and relay box is located on the left rear side of the engine compartment behind the shock absorber strut. Before replacing a fuse or relay, turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers (e.g. radio).

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Tweezers (located in the cover of the fuse box) or use pliers to carefully remove the blown fuse from its holder.

2. Insert a new fuse of the same amperage into the holder. Make sure the fuse is set correctly.

3. If the new fuse blows immediately, check to see if you have installed a fuse with a lower protection current. If the installed fuse blows again, check the electrical circuit protected by the fuse (pic. 15.40, 15.42, 15.43 and tab. 15.3, 15.4, 15.6).
