SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. Place the car with the charged battery as close to your car as possible - the batteries should be practically next to each other. Do not allow the cars to touch. The cable should hang freely between the cars.
2. Turn off all non-essential electrical consumers.
3. First connect one end of the red cable to the positive terminal of the discharged battery, then the other end of the same cable to the positive terminal of the auxiliary battery.
4. Next, connect one end of the second black cable to the negative terminal of the booster battery, then the other end to a "ground" stationary metal point (such as an engine mount). Do not connect the cable from the negative terminal of the booster battery to the negative terminal of the dead battery.
5. Start the engine of the donor car with increased crankshaft speed so that the generator begins to generate voltage.
6. Start the engine of the car with the discharged battery. If the engine does not start immediately, give the starter time to cool down. In addition, during the pauses, the voltage between the batteries will be equalized. The operating time of the "donor" car does not affect the state of charge of its battery.
7. Once the engine starts, disconnect the cable first from the negative terminal of the discharged battery, then from the charged battery. Finally, disconnect the cable from the positive terminal in the reverse order of connection.
8. After starting the engine with the help of an auxiliary vehicle, drive the car for 30 km at an increased engine crankshaft speed. In this case, the generator charges your car's battery more intensively.

PRACTICAL TIPS
Starting the engine by pushing the car
This method cannot be used to start an engine equipped with an automatic transmission STX. Pushing can start the engine of cars with a manual transmission, provided that the engine of your car is in good condition. Do not push if the engine does not start due to a malfunction in the ignition system. Unburned fuel-air mixture can penetrate the exhaust system and damage the catalytic converter.
1. Turn on the ignition and first gear. At higher gears, the generator rotor will rotate too slowly, the generator will not produce enough voltage.
2. Press the clutch pedal, while assistants should push the car until it picks up speed.
3. Quickly release the clutch pedal - the crankshaft will turn with a jerk, the engine should start. Immediately press the clutch pedal and the accelerator pedal.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Starting the engine by towing the car
This method cannot be used to start the engine of a Fiesta equipped with an automatic transmission CTX. Starting the engine of a car with a manual transmission by towing is only possible if the ignition system is faulty. Remember that when towing a car with the engine off, it is necessary to apply significantly more force to turn the steering wheel and press the brake pedal.
1. Turn on the ignition, engage second gear and press the clutch pedal.
The towing vehicle should move slowly.
2. At a speed of approximately 15 km/h, slowly release the clutch pedal, with your right hand on the parking brake lever.
3. If the engine starts, press the clutch pedal and the accelerator pedal.
4. Signal to the driver of the vehicle in front. Together with the towing vehicle, gently brake using the parking brake.
