By the way, this advice applies to all work in which the battery is disconnected from the vehicle's on-board network.
SEQUENCE OF WORK
1. To prevent a short circuit during further work, first disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery. To do this, unscrew the nut and disconnect the wire contact from the battery terminal.
2. Turn away a nut and disconnect a wire from the positive plug of the storage battery.
Pic. 15.8. Fastening the battery in the engine compartment with a strap (4), secured with nuts (1), and the places where the wires are connected to the negative (3) and positive (2) battery terminals
3. Remove nuts 1 (pic. 15.8) securing the battery bar and remove the bar 4.
4. Remove the battery.
5. When installing, make sure that the battery is securely installed on the console (slipping of the battery leads to the destruction of the lead plates).
6. Connect at first a wire to positive, then a wire to negative plugs of the storage battery. An error when connecting wires to the terminals is eliminated due to the fact that the battery terminals are of different diameters.
7. Lubricate the terminals with petroleum jelly or special battery lubricant to prevent the formation of sulfates.
8. Turn on the radio and enter the code into it.
