SEQUENCE OF WORKS
Endura-E Engines
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Unscrew the nuts and disconnect the wires from the back of the generator (first mark the contacts and colors of the wires).
3. Loosen the tension of the poly V-belt.

4. Remove the two bolts securing the rear part of the generator (Fig. 15.12).
5. Remove the two bolts securing the front of the generator
6. Remove the generator.
7. The generator is installed in the reverse order of removal.
Features of generator removal from Zetec-SE engines
1. On the back of the generator, unscrew the nut, disconnect the wire from the "B+" contact and disconnect the universal electrical connector.
2. Unscrew the bolt securing the upper generator support.
3. Remove the generator lower mounting bolt.
4. Unscrew the bolt securing the lower generator support.
5. Remove the generator from the engine compartment.
6. The generator is installed in the reverse order of removal.
