If a malfunction of the automatic transmission is detected, first of all it is necessary to determine what nature (electric, mechanical or hydraulic) has a malfunction, and this requires special testing equipment. Therefore, if you suspect a transmission problem, have your Ford dealer or a qualified technician locate and correct the problem.
Do not remove the transmission from the vehicle for possible repairs until a professional has diagnosed the problem, as most transmission tests require the transmission to be in the vehicle.
