Serious body damage — repair (Transit 2)

            0

With the exception of drop-side cargo versions, the chassis beams are welded to the underbody and in this respect can be considered as a load-bearing structure. Repair of serious damage to such a structure must be carried out in a workshop equipped with welding and hydraulic straightening devices.

Extensive body damage can cause chassis deformation, resulting in poor handling and dangerous overloads, as well as excessive wear on tires and steering or suspension components. We recommend that you entrust the control of the chassis geometric characteristics to a Ford agent.
