The automatic control system is more complex, and a malfunction or improper adjustment of any of the components can make the vehicle unsafe to operate. Therefore, if any malfunctions occur, consult a Ford dealer. It is not recommended to remove the electronic control unit unless you have the necessary diagnostic equipment to adjust the unit for subsequent installation.
