General information about antifreeze

Warning: Avoid getting antifreeze on your skin or painted surfaces of your car. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Do not store fresh coolant or leave old coolant within the reach of children and pets who may be attracted to its sweet taste. Even a small amount of it can cause irreparable harm. Even if a little coolant is spilled, wipe up stains immediately. Always close the antifreeze container; repair malfunctions of the cooling system immediately upon detection of malfunctions. The cooling system is filled with a mixture of water and antifreeze based on ethylene glycol. which does not freeze at -29 degrees Celsius (-20 degrees Fahrenheit). It also provides corrosion protection and raises the boiling point of the coolant.

At least once a year, you need to drain the liquid from the cooling system, flush it and fill it with fresh composition (see chapter 1) Using an antifreeze formulation for more than 2 years leads to clogging of the system due to sediment and rust.

Before adding coolant to the system, check all hoses and tips - antifreeze penetrates into the smallest cracks.

The best is a mixture of antifreeze with water, prepared depending on weather conditions. The mixture should contain 50 to 70 percent antifreeze, but no more.
