Checking and replacing the gearbox suspension

1. Remove the left front wheel and fender arch (chapter 11).

2. Insert a lever or a large screwdriver into the opening of the suspension, swing it up and down (see picture).



3. If the suspension moves easily, or if the rubber is cracked, deformed, or separated from the metal base, replace it with a new one.

4. Place a floor jack and block of wood under the gearbox.

5. Unscrew the nuts from the box and the bolts of fastening to the transverse frame, remove the suspension (see picture). You may need to slightly lift the box with a jack to remove the suspension.


7.5. The gearbox mount is held in place by two bolts.
1. Suspension support.
2. Cross frame.
3. Bolt (2 pieces).


6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
