General information about manual transmission

All vehicles covered in this manual are equipped with either 5-speed manual or automatic transmissions (checkpoint). The manual transmission in these models is marked MTX - III.

This part of Chapter 7 provides all the data for a manual transmission, with the exception of replacing seals, checking the oil level, and checking and replacing the suspension. Information on automatic transmission is given in part B.

Due to the complexity of the gearbox assembly, general information, procedures for removing - installing and replacing seals are considered.
