About this guide (Transit 2)

The purpose of this guide is to provide maximum assistance to the car owner in the operation and planning of repairs both in a car service workshop and on their own. The information collected and presented below allows the vehicle owner to determine what maintenance work needs to be done and when, as well as whether it makes sense to try to do it themselves, or whether they should contact the manufacturer's dealership or auto repair shop. The manual includes a description of mandatory routine vehicle maintenance procedures and a schedule for their implementation. In addition, information is provided on diagnosing faults in vehicle components and systems (in case of their refusal), as well as ways to eliminate their causes, the Guide is divided into Chapters. Each Chapter is divided into Sections. Sections are further divided into subsections and consist of numbered paragraphs. The text is accompanied by explanatory illustrations. Each illustration is numbered with decimal numbers according to its position in the Chapter, e.g. 5.1 is the first illustration of Section 5. References to the left or right position of a component or part are relative to a person sitting in the driver's seat facing forward. Unless otherwise stated, nuts and bolts are loosened by turning them counterclockwise and tightened by turning them clockwise. Once procedures are described in the manual text, they are generally not repeated.
