All these systems are directly or indirectly connected with the EEC-IV system.
The sections in this chapter include descriptions, test procedures, and component replacement operations (where possible) for each of the systems listed above.
Note: The most common cause of failure of this equipment is a slipped or broken vacuum hose or wire, so always check the lines and wire connections first.
The illustrations of the various systems may not exactly match the system installed in your vehicle, due to the fact that the manufacturer makes various changes to vehicle modifications from year to year.
The vehicle emission control information label is located in the engine compartment (see illustration). It contains important emission standard data and adjustment information, along with a diagram of the vacuum hose locations with identification of system components.
